Services

We offer a wide range of services to help fire departments and organizations transition smoothly to more environmentally friendly firefighting fluorine free technologies.

FFF Transition includes the following services:

Site survey

Our team of experts can audit your current foam use and related equipment to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
We are supported by the best experts in this field from Angus Fire Engineering.

Proposal for new technical measures

Based on the audit results, we can make recommendations for new technical standards to improve your fire safety and compliance with EU environmental regulations.

Decontamination

If you are switching from a PFAS-based foam concentrate, we can provide full decontamination services together with our partners to ensure that your equipment is completely clean and ready for transition to a new fluorine free foam.

Detachment of old resources

We can help you safely and legally dispose of any old foam concentrates, hardware, and other equipment that is no longer needed.

Replacement of foam

We can provide refills of the new FFF free of PFAS and other harmful chemicals to your brigade/facility.

Compatibility check

SFFF AR are produced using different chemicals, thus resulting in higher viscosity. Compatibility with proportioning (mixing) hardware is essential to achieve the requested intensity of application. We are providing calibration of the clients existing hardware or supply and install new compatible mixing or application hardware as an important step in transition to FFF.

Compliance check

Our team, together with excerpts from Angus Fire Engineering, is ready to provide a compliance check of your facilities and equipment in order for you to comply fully with EN and NFPA fire safety standards.

Advisory

Our company provides to its clients ongoing assistance, and if required also training, education and support to comply with the latest and upcoming regulation on foam concentrates to enhance your firefighting efficiency and reduce the environmental and health risks associated with these products.

Commissioning

Through the Angus International Safety Group Engineering division, we can provide pre-commissioning and commissioning on a vast range of firefighting equipment and systems to NFPA/EEN standards from a world leader in the petrochemical industry.

Foam Testing Service

Foam testing is crucial in ensuring that stocks of foam concentrate held in long-term storage are in good condition when they are needed to put out a fire.
It is impossible to tell if foam concentrate is of operational quality by smelling it, looking at it in its drum, or touching the finished foam blanket. Foam users around the world submit samples of foam concentrate to our award winning AISG Foam Testing Service as part of their regular maintenance programmes.

Teams of highly qualified scientists and technicians in modern, purpose-built laboratories analyse samples of all types of foam to the highest standards. With knowledge and experience of evaluating foam samples gained over many years, AISG staff are uniquely placed to interpret the results and provide reliable recommendations about the suitability of foam for use in an emergency. Analytical chemistry laboratories that do not specialise in fire fighting foam testing are unable to offer such specialist expertise. The results are reported quickly with a comprehensive test report.

PFAS TOPA

TOPA aims to detect PFAS precursor compounds by oxidising samples to see whether or not they develop into regulated (and easier to detect) PFAS compounds – indicative of whether there are regulated PFAS compounds at a site that might later emerge from existing PFAS precursors.
