JetFoam ICAO-B 1%, 3% & 6%

High-performance fluorine-free foam concentrate certified to ICAO Level B.

JetFoam ICAO-B is a high-quality synthetic fluorine-free (F3) foam concentrate from Angus Fire, part of Angus International Safety Group (AISG). It is designed to put out and secure flammable aviation fuel spills and fires (Jet A and Jet A-1). It is available in 1%, 3% and 6% versions to suit the proportioning equipment on site.

A foam that behaves like water

JetFoam ICAO-B is a patented combination of surfactants and other ingredients, available only from Angus Fire. It produces a vapour-sealing blanket of foam that spreads quickly over the fuel surface for rapid control and extinguishment, and keeps fuel vapours suppressed on Jet A and Jet A-1 spills.

It contains no polymers or gelling agents, so it is a truly Newtonian liquid: its viscosity stays the same however fast it flows, just like water. At 2 cP for the 3% and 6% versions, it inducts easily and proportions accurately with conventional equipment on aviation rescue vehicles.

JetFoam ICAO-B won the Gold Green Apple Award in the Science & Technology category. It is 100% biodegradable, with minimal environmental impact and the performance needed to tackle aviation fuel fires.

Where JetFoam ICAO-B is used

Airport rescue vehicles — Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting Vehicles (ARFFV), Rapid Intervention Vehicles (RIV) and airport crash trucks, where fast extinguishment is essential for saving life.

Aviation fuel sites — high-risk locations where hydrocarbon fuels such as Jet A, Jet A-1 and aviation kerosene are processed, stored or transported.

Fuel spills — a vapour-suppressing foam blanket on unignited Jet A and Jet A-1 spills.

Equipment & compatibility

JetFoam ICAO-B is readily proportioned with conventional foam proportioning equipment at 1%, 3% or 6% (1, 3 or 6 parts concentrate to 99, 97 or 94 parts water). It can be used with air-aspirating devices, and Angus Fire recommends aspirated foam wherever a stable foam blanket is essential.

Air-aspirating discharge devices
Potable and fresh water
Protein-based or synthetic foams, applied one after another or at the same time
Dry powder agents, applied separately or as twin-agent systems
